As a design firm, we would like to position ourselves as idea-generators providing design solutions within the urban-eco-system. Originally founded in 1988 by talented and dynamic Malaysian architect, Ar Mohamed Hafiz Hashim in Kuala Lumpur, the firm has outgrown its limits as a pure architectural consultancy into a multi-discipline practice. The firm is involved in providing services ranging from the master planning and urban design of communities, townships and cities, architectural design and implementation of a broad range of building-types, landscape architecture, interior design and conservation.

Today, the people at Urbanisma represent a mix of experts who are able to initiate design strategies and solutions that cut across different disciplines to ensure that solutions are well-conceived and satisfy the needs and requirements of Clients and stakeholders before it is realized on the ground. The firm keeps abreast with the latest in design technology and tools in delivering services including its ISO-certified quality management system. BIM applications and integration, and host of design software and tools, that enable planning and design works to be seamlessly executed. 

The firm has established its reputation in the delivery of consultancy services in the Malaysian market and testimony to this is the successful implementation of the various commissions, some of which have earned various recognitions and awards. The firm has also successfully exported its services internationally and has been commissioned for projects in Australia, Albania, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Sudan, Egypt and Nigeria.
